Cookie policy
Every cookie and storage item Evra uses, what each one does, and how to change your choices.
Draft, to be reviewed by a solicitor before launch. Text in square brackets is a placeholder for details Evra has not confirmed yet.

The short version
- Before you make a choice, Evra sets no cookies at all.
- We keep your basket, saved items and colour theme in your browser, only when you use those features. They are never sent to us.
- We use Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them. Rejecting them does not change how the site works.
- We do not use advertising cookies. Nothing from another company loads on our pages unless you accept analytics cookies.
- You can change your mind at any time in Cookie settings.
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. The site can read it again later, for example to remember a choice you made.
Websites can also keep information in your browser in other ways. Evra uses one of them, called local storage, to remember your basket, your saved items and your colour theme. In this policy, "cookies" means cookies and these similar technologies.
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, say we must ask for your consent before we store or read anything on your device. There are exceptions. We do not need consent for storage that is strictly necessary for something you have asked for, such as a basket, or that only remembers how you want the site to look or work. That is why we ask you about analytics cookies, but not about your basket.
The cookies and storage we use
This is the full list. We checked it on 14 October 2026 by visiting the site in a new browser and recording every cookie and storage item it set: before making a choice, after using the basket, save and theme buttons, after accepting analytics, after rejecting analytics, and after changing our mind in Cookie settings. We will check it again whenever we change what the site stores. [PLACEHOLDER: re-run this scan on the live site before launch, including the Google Analytics cookies, which Google's script could not set in the test environment]
| Name and type | What it does and how long it lasts |
|---|---|
| Always on: strictly necessary, or a feature you have asked for | |
| evra_ Cookie, set by Evra |
Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask on every page. Set only when you make a choice. How long: 180 days |
| evra.basket Local storage, on your device |
Remembers what you add to your basket. Never sent to us. How long: until you remove the items or clear your browser's data for this site |
| evra.saved Local storage, on your device |
Remembers the products you save with the heart button, for your Lists page. Never sent to us. How long: until you clear your list or your browser's data for this site |
| evra.theme Local storage, on your device |
Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme with the theme button. Set only if you use that button. Never sent to us. How long: until you clear your browser's data for this site |
| Analytics: only if you accept them | |
| _ga Cookie, set by Google Analytics on our domain |
Gives your browser a random ID, so Google Analytics can count visitors and tell new visits from returning ones. How long: 2 years from your last visit |
| _ga_ Cookie, set by Google Analytics on our domain |
Keeps track of your current visit (your session) for our Google Analytics account. The letters and numbers after "_ga_" are our account's ID. How long: 2 years from your last visit |
Durations for the Google Analytics cookies come from Google's documentation (cookie usage on websites). Google renews them each time you visit. Browsers can delete them sooner: Google says Chrome keeps them for no more than 400 days, and Safari for no more than 7 days.
If you used the earlier version of our site, your browser may still hold a cookie called myevra_cookie_consent, or a storage item called evra.reserved. We do not read them. The site deletes them when it finds them.
It may also hold the evra_cookie_consent cookie from the earlier version. If that records that you accepted cookies, we do not use it, because that banner did not name Google Analytics: the site deletes it and asks you again. If it records that you declined, we keep to that, so analytics cookies stay off until you change your mind in Cookie settings.
Storage that does not need your consent
The items in the first part of the table do not need your consent under PECR. The consent cookie and your basket are strictly necessary: the site needs them to remember your cookie choice and the things you put in your basket. Your saved items and theme only do what you asked when you pressed the heart or the theme button.
None of these items is used to track you, and the basket, saved items and theme never leave your device. We cannot see them, so we cannot recover them if they are deleted.
If you would rather we did not keep them, you can:
- remove products from your basket one by one
- use Clear list on your Lists page
- not use the theme button, so the site simply follows your device's light or dark setting
- clear this site's data in your browser's settings, which removes all of them at once. This also removes your cookie choice, so the banner will ask you again.
Analytics cookies
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to see how people use the site, so we can improve it. For example, it shows us which pages are visited most and where people leave.
Google Analytics does not load until you accept analytics cookies. Before that, your browser sends nothing to Google. If you reject them, or never make a choice, it does not load at all. Rejecting them does not change how the site works.
If you accept, Google receives information about your visit: the pages you view, the page that sent you to us, your type of device and browser, your screen size and language, and your approximate location worked out from your IP address. We have set Google Analytics up to collect less:
- advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off
- we remove the part of each page address after "?" or "#", except the standard tags that say which campaign brought you to us
- we do not load Google Analytics on our search page, so what you search for never reaches Google
- when you send a form, Google Analytics records only which form was sent, never what you typed
Google acts for us when it provides Google Analytics, and it may also use some of this information for its own purposes. Google explains this in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Our privacy policy explains what we do with the information, how long Google keeps it and how it is protected when it leaves the UK.
Global Privacy Control
Global Privacy Control is a setting in some browsers and browser extensions. It tells websites that you do not want your personal data sold or shared.
If your browser sends it and you have not made a choice on this device, we treat it as a rejection of analytics cookies. We do not show the cookie banner, we do not load Google Analytics, and we do not store anything to record the signal.
You can still switch analytics on in Cookie settings if you want to. Once you have made a choice on this device, we follow that choice.
Change your cookie settings
You can change your mind at any time. Use the button below, or the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
If you switch analytics off, Google Analytics stops straight away and we delete its cookies from our domain. This applies in every tab you have open on our site. You do not need to reload the page.
If JavaScript is switched off or blocked in your browser, Cookie settings cannot open. Google Analytics cannot run without JavaScript either, so no analytics cookies are set.
You can also see, block and delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings, usually under privacy or site data. If you block all of them, the basket and saved items may not work.
Clear what Evra stores on this device
Your basket, saved items and colour theme are kept only in this browser. You can remove items one at a time on the basket and Lists pages, or remove all three at once here.
Other websites
Our fonts, images and scripts come from our own website. The only other company's code that can run on our pages is Google Analytics, and only after you accept it. We do not use social media buttons, embedded videos or maps, or advertising networks.
Some products have a "Buy from brand" button. It takes you to the brand's own website, which may set its own cookies under its own cookie policy. We do not load any affiliate network's scripts on our pages. [PLACEHOLDER: the affiliate networks we use, if any, and whether Buy from brand links carry a tracking ID that lets the network or brand set cookies after you arrive]
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy whenever we change the cookies or storage we use. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we want to use a new kind of cookie that needs your consent, we will ask you again first.
