Evra is early. Some of these answers are about things that do not exist yet, and they say so.
Can I buy anything from Evra?
Not directly, and there is no checkout on this site. Products marked Affiliate pick are bought from the maker, on the maker's own site, at the maker's price. Evra takes no payment, holds no stock, and does not handle shipping or returns for them.
How does Evra make money?
Two ways, and neither is hidden. Most links to third-party products are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the maker pays us a commission, and you pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise.
The second is our own products. The Evra 304 stainless steel storage set is the first, and it is currently pre-sell only.
What we do not do: accept payment for placement, accept payment to leave a product off the rejection list, or let commission rates decide what passes The Evra Standard. Several products on the rejection list are from brands running affiliate programmes we could have joined.
What does “reserve” actually mean?
It means you have told us you want one, and we hold you a place in the first production run. No payment is taken, no card details are collected, and you are not committed to buying. When the set launches, you get told first and you decide then.
You can remove a reservation at any time from your account.
When does the storage set launch?
We have not committed to a date, so we are not publishing one. When the manufacturing timeline is fixed the date will appear on the product and in Sales & Offers, and everyone with a reservation will be emailed.
Do I need an account?
No. You can browse everything, and save or reserve items, without one — those are kept in your browser. An account is worth having if you want your reservations to survive a new device, or want to control which emails you get.
Why are rejected products listed at all?
Because a shop that only shows its approvals is asking you to take the approvals on faith. Publishing what we turned down, and why, is the part that can be checked.
Are you a testing laboratory?
No. We have access to university engineering laboratory facilities and we use them, but we are not accredited and we do not issue certifications. When we describe our own measurements we publish the method and its limits. When we cite a certification, an accredited body did that work and we checked the listing.
